Horseshoes and Handgernades is another of my finds from our local wine shop Fine Wine & Tastings on Main. After a few other tasting pours while writing, the bartender suggested this one based on what I'd been trying so far. I absolutely love that this shop does so many (20+) wines by the glass or 2 oz tasting pour!

Winemaker Notes:
~ Masion Noir Wines
Wine Notes:
- Winery: Mason Noir Wines
- Alcohol: 13.7%
- Varietal/Blend: 64% Syrah, 19% Merlot, 17% Cabernet Sauvignon
- Fermenting/Aging: 16 months in French & American Oak
Tasting Notes:
Full body fruity red blend, with lots of dark fruit aromas - blackberry, blueberry, & plum. Lower on the acidity and tannins. Flavors of blueberry and blackberry with earthy hints of coco.
I think that this would be a nice table wine or even a great gift wine. As a fruitier wine, I didn't find the fruit too over whelming, as can sometimes be the case. Horseshoes and Handgrenades was well balanced and could go well with a variety of meals or be enjoyed on it's own.
Since I was in the wine shop, I didn't have a snack or a meal to go with it, but I could just imagine this with a juicy burger or even a grilled cheese! (I defiantly had cheese on my mind!)
